Richard Leigh

Richard Leigh is an accomplished engagement and capacity building consultant with over 15 years of expertise in strategic policy development, advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and project management. His work spans the UK, Europe, and Africa, fostering meaningful relationships, driving organisational growth, and implementing transformative strategies for sustainable development. His expertise supports Civil Society, Diaspora, Academic Institutions, Government Agencies and INGOs.  Richard is an Engagement and Capacity Consultant at the African Foundation for Development (AFFORD).  Member of the International Steering Committee for Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD); Coordination of and participation at GFMD-related activities; Member of Global Civil Society Action Committee; Member of the African Civil Society and Diaspora Organisations Forum; Member of the National Remittance Stakeholders Network of Ghana (NRSN) and the Remittance Community Task FORCE (RCTF) led by IFAD. Richard was part of the consortium of experts that organised a series of webinars on the Africa Union Free Movement Protocol (AU FMP).
